Duties and Responsibilities:
You will act as Project Engineer/Manager on various design and study projects with involvement in client liaison, concept design, and production of working drawings, co-ordination with architects and engineers, and preparation of specifications. Other responsibilities include field inspection, contract administration, preparation of reports and estimates, feasibility studies for new buildings, needs studies and building condition studies. The career track for this position will lead into Project Management.
Typical project assignments may include transit facilities, municipal operations centres, automotive and industrial facilities, arenas and pool buildings, marine structures and military buildings. Project types include new buildings, renovations, additions and site developments.
Qualifications:
- Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario (or eligible for registration) with a degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural or Mechanical preferably)
- Minimum of five years related experience in the project engineering, design and production of working drawings for industrial and commercial buildings and site projects
- Related experience in the preparation of written reports and contract administration
- Experience with MS Project or another project management software is an asset
- Some AutoCAD knowledge is an asset

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with creative writers, artists, interactive developers, as well as the QA and systems teams to ensure projects are successful.
- Manage day to day interaction with business and vendors, set and manage expectations.
- Effectively apply the Interactive Division PMO methodology and enforce project standards.
- Manage the life of projects through discovery, assessment, design, production, testing and launch phases.

Description:
Your primary role will be interacting with internal business customers to facilitate and manage their approved project requests. This will include working with the extended business and I.T. teams to manage requirements, definite project and resource planning, development execution, validate with end-users, and oversee deployment. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the project over its life cycle and all communications to the business and I.T. stakeholders.
Skills Required:
- Work together with business and I.T. teams to plan, design, and implement business solutions through the use of new or existing technology, in conjunction with process review and/or development.
- Manage the end-to-end project life cycle, which includes developing the business case, requirements gathering, scope definition, detailed project plans, technical specifications, and resource requirements. Manage the financial and resource budgets across the project.
- Work with the project team and key business stakeholders to set and manage expectations for project delivery.
- Proactively manage project issues and risks, including the development of mitigation actions where necessary.
- Propose changes to existing standards when appropriate and help implement new standards that have been approved.
- Provide required post-implementation technical support for solutions and systems.
Qualifications:
- University Degree or College Diploma in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years work experience as an I.T. Business Analyst or Project Manager.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) would be considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of project management methodology would be considered an asset, preferably Prince2.
- Advanced application and troubleshooting skills and knowledge of the PeopleSoft enterprise system is required.
- Advanced knowledge in Query Manager tool (subqueries, unions).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- An ability to provide a common vision to a group.
- Fluent in English, additional language skills are considered an asset.
- Strong facilitation skills, clear presentation of ideas, ability to moderate discussions and garner consensus.
- Quickly adjust to changing assignments, priorities and new responsibilities.
